THE SEAN ENGLISH REPORT

I am stoked to report that near perfect conditions and a consistent run of swell have kept myself and the rest of so cal's surfing population quite busy. I made the drive to Northern SD the past couple days, and it has paid off in the form of clean, peaky beachbreaks. John Idano has put together a cool little edit of one of the morning sessions we had. What the edit doesnt show is how crowded it has been at most beaches the past week. The recent crowds could be a product of our struggling economy, with more and more people out of work and in the water. At least thats why I've had the time, Haha. Yamo has shaped me a friggen great board! Ive had only a few sessions on the new sled, but i can already tell she and I will have fun in the salt. Since the water is still so warm, I went for a PP/Mesh/Stringer combo that has been thinned out and shaped into one of my favorite rider's personal template! I also recently added the new Lime/Black churchies to my growing fin collection and I cant wait to slide em on.  I will be spending some time driving up and down the coast looking for waves in the next week, so look for more video updates and jargon in the future!

MOREY BOOGIE WELCOMES MIKE CREED TO THE TEAM

Mike is a great bodyboarder. He understands what it takes to draw clean lines, and turn them into big boosts. His passion for bodyboarding exceeds his knowledge in Business, which he holds a degree in from one of the better schools in California. Aside from his willingness to commit to the books, he has the travel bug. Mike has been to Australia twice for a total of 6 months time spent. He boosted through the Cooks last year, and has been to Hawaii and Mexico numerous times. As a matter of fact, Mike's commitment to surfing will take him anywhere in the drop of a hat, for a chance to score good waves. Throughout his California and world wide travels, Mike has honed his skills in the air. With his frame and speed he generates, he can be seen blasting some of the best Inverts I have seen with impeccable style.  He has all the tricks in the bag, and is also known to uncork the occasional Inverse or two. I sound like his biggest fan huh? Well its all true.

Mike has always had the talent to surf as good as anyone, but not until recently has he had a fire to compete and show the rest of the sport what he has to offer. Mike Creed would be a great addition to any team. I cant wait to see him ride a new board and take over California bodyboarding.

MOREY SIGNS JASE FINLAY

Jason Finlay is an incredible bodyboarder. A natural talent with a love for hitting big air section that'd send most seasoned professionals packing. From here on in Jason will be hunting down those looming sections on a Morey Bodyboard. This past year has seen Jason burst onto the scene with jaw-dropping performances at some of the best waves the world has to offer. His commitment to rising up the ranks and representing bodyboarding at its finest have seen Jason go from one of the most underrated bodyboarder's to one of the most respected up-and-coming riders. Jason's hunger and drive to succeed has never been stronger, so he fits in perfectly with Morey's quest of reestablishing itself as the dominant board company in the market, which so far has been a very successful journey. With his natural athleticism and relentless determination Jason's going to dominate in 2009 on Morey Bodyboards. "I'm thriving on the possibilty of pushing my ability to its limits and now I can further my reputation as both a technical rider and a big-wave bodyboarder on Morey Bodyboards." "This year I want to blow minds. I want to ride the biggest waves there are and I want to do the biggest airs ever seen. I've put the time in and these goals are totally achievable for me, and I know now, with the right support from Morey, I can make it happen"

SURFING EN EL BOARDER CONTEST

Mike Lepiere Interviewed by UNIVISON

Pastey with the Mayor of T.J

Words from Pastey-
I went down to playas tijuana this past weekend to compete in the first ever surfing in el boarder contest. I was really surprised on the turn out of the event they had so many sponsors like Redbull Sky and Tecate. They also had media coverage form a couple tv networks in Mexico. The surf was pretty fun as well, 2-3 feet pretty glass in the morning with little  on shore conditions later in the day, but definitely still contestable. All the riders were really competitive some guys were getting eliminated by half a point or less. I made it to the semifinal with Matty and Jermy Wright ended up winning the whole contest. The support was incredible down there. The people couldn't have been friendlier. They are planing to do another contest next year so if you have the chance be sure to enter.
